Family stressors
Money
This stressor is one of the, if not the, most common family stressor. Couples can disagree on where to spend their money, even after years of feeding into each other’s habits financially. Larger goals like paying for college or saving for a house can put immense pressure on all parties involved in accumulating wealth and creating enough income to take care of these dreams. It’s hard to avoid talking about money; an engagement ring is right around the corner!
Parents
This topic will cover all strains with parents, such as disagreement in how they raised kids (soccer vs basketball spring training), style of discipline they practiced (chores vs extra tutoring), and different beliefs.
